TCP/IP ChipTCPIPChip - a TCP/IP stack on a chip. Designed to interface with a GPRS phone. It's actually connecting via PPP, and could presumably be interfaced to any phone with a serial port, I think, GPRS or not. They mention a motorola and an Ericsson phone as examples. The chip itself is cheap; around $20; and needs only a few parts to work. It is a surface mount chip, though, so you've got to build a PCB for it. There's also a development board available for around $50. Sales link for the chip and the development board. thanks to Ahmi Wolf for the link. Posted by tigoe at September 13, 2003 07:48 AM |
