Single-board computers

Links to single-board Linux computers, from anyone and everyone.Any suggestions on boards, etc. is welcome:

The Via Mini-ITX boards are the ones we've been using at ITP. Ahmi Wolf originally introduced us to them. They're very simple to use, because they have so much built-in. About the only thing you have to do is add an IDE hard drive (and CD-ROM if you need it for install), input and output devices, and you're up and running. I'm currently using a VIA EPIA TC10000 running Fedora Core 1. It runs Processing nicely, so it can work pretty well as a single-project multimedia box. Todd Holoubek has also run WinXP on a VIA EPIA MII in order to run Dan Shiffman's video tracking applications, using a firewire input.

VIA Mini-ITX: (Thanks, Ahmi)

iTuner has some nice package deals in mini-ITX boards. Thanks Todd for the link.

James Powerly sent along this link to Logic Supply, another distributor of mini-ITX boards.

Todd found some links on the nano-ITX, now that they've been announced. Thanks Todd.

Other boards:

BlueMod: nice and small, but pricey. Can run WinCE or Linux.

Soekris Engineering (Ahmi likes the net 4801)

Intrinsyc makes a nice but pricey module

Kontron makes a number of PC/104 boards

The Gumstix computers look cute as well. Looks like they take a little more hardware work than the VIA's, but I could be wrong. Nice size, tho. Thanks Rich.

Geoff Smith turned me on the the Axis boards, which look very nice, and very simple. The Axis 82 board is about $300, and has serial ports, ethernet, USB 1.1, a parallel port, and runs Linux. Axis also has an open source Bluetooth stack that they're releasing.

OpenBrick is another open source embedded Linux platform. The hardware starts at about $360, and openBrick has links to vendors on their site.
