     This circuit supposedly detects nearby cell phone activity and lights the LED in the circuit when it's detected. Seems simple enough, and could be very useful for those wanting to detect when a phone rings, gets or sends a message, etc. I haven't tested it, however, and it looks like it could be a bit finicky about the antenna shape and length.

     Sparkfun sells some fun stuff: cheap accelerometer boards, PIC programmers, and more. They also have the cheapest GPS modules I've seen so far.
