2-axis Clinometer (Tilt sensor)   Oct 27,2004
This dual axis clinometer can measure tilt on two axes at about 4 measurements per second. Could be used as a replacement for accelerometers in an application where all you want is the level of tilt relative to the floor.

Acroname   Aug 29,2003
Acroname - They carry some nice H-bridge chips, and sensors. Great articles on how to use their products as well.

Analog   Aug 28,2003
Analog Devices - Accelerometers, Digital Potentiometers, and many other electronic components.... Their ADXL202 and ADXL210 accelerometers are staples of the sensor world.

Rotary Encoders   Jul 31,2005
If you're looking for a continuous rotation potentiometer, or you're looking to measure the number of turns of an axle or spindle, consider Rotary encoders. Rotary encoders measure rotation about an axis by producing a series of pulses as the shaft rotates. The more pulses produced per roration, the higher the resolution of the encoder. A typical encoder will give you 128 or 256 positions around a circle.

SignalQuest   Nov 20,2004
SignalQuest carries tilt sensors, 2- and 3-axis accelerometers, inclinometers, and other sensors for measuring the movement of a body to which the sensor is mounted. Thanks to Ryan Holsopple for the link.
